Terms of Service

Agreement
These Terms govern your use of The Jellyfish Social website and iOS app. By creating an account or using Jellyfish, you confirm that you understand and accept these Terms and the Privacy & Data Use policy.
Using Jellyfish
You must provide accurate account information, protect your login, meet the minimum age required in your location, and use the service lawfully. You are responsible for activity and content posted through your account.
Community conduct
Do not harass people, impersonate others, threaten or promote violence, exploit minors, publish unlawful material, spam, manipulate engagement, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with the service. Accounts or content may be restricted or removed to protect users and the platform.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Jellyfish a non-exclusive permission to host, process, reproduce, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, promote, and improve app features. You must have the rights and consent required to share your content.
Other users and third-party content
Users are responsible for their own content and conduct. Jellyfish does not endorse every post, message, link, GIF, report, or recommendation appearing through the service. External services and links are governed by their own terms and policies.
Weather and safety
Radar, forecasts, alerts, maps, community reports, and notifications can be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. Jellyfish is not an emergency service. Follow official authorities, local emergency services, and trusted warning systems, and seek shelter or emergency assistance when conditions require it.
Service availability and enforcement
Features may change, pause, or be discontinued. We may investigate reports and suspend or terminate access for violations, security risks, legal requirements, or harm to users or the service. The service is provided without a guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Account deletion
You may stop using Jellyfish or use the in-app Delete Account control. Deletion is permanent and may remove your profile and associated content. Limited records may be retained where reasonably required for security, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Privacy and service providers
Use of Jellyfish is also governed by our Privacy & Data Use policy. Apple, Supabase, Firebase, GIPHY, weather, mapping, and media providers may process requests under their own terms and policies.
Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Jellyfish is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from user content, weather information, outages, account access, or third-party services. Rights and remedies that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as Jellyfish changes. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply. For questions, visit our support page or use the support controls in the app.
