Our commitment

The Jellyfish Social ("Jellyfish", "we", "us", or "our") uses information to provide, protect, and improve the features you choose to use. We do not sell personal information.

Information you provide

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate accounts, operate social and messaging features, show content, provide weather and safety features, deliver notifications, prevent abuse, investigate reports, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, comply with law, and improve Jellyfish.

Service providers and external content

Jellyfish may use Apple services, Supabase, Firebase, GIPHY, National Weather Service data, RainViewer, mapping services, weather providers, and media-delivery providers. These providers may process requests and technical information under their own privacy policies. We disclose information only as needed to operate features, protect the service, comply with law, or complete a transaction you request.

Public and private content

Profile information and content posted to public or shared spaces can be viewed by the audiences indicated in the app. Direct messages and restricted group content are intended for their participants, but recipients may save or share what they receive. Do not submit information you do not want others to access.

Retention and security

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Jellyfish, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and controls

You can edit profile information, stop location sharing, manage notification preferences, revoke permissions in iOS Settings, delete eligible content, sign out, and request account deletion. The app's Delete Account feature permanently removes the account and associated data, subject to limited retention required for security or law.

Children

Jellyfish is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum digital-consent age required in their location. If we learn that an ineligible child provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. For privacy questions, data access, correction, or deletion requests, visit our support page or use the controls available in the app.
